The reliable dual fuel, 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Kubota engine achieves high power density from its larger bore and stroke sizes, enabling it to deliver more power from a smaller crankcase. In addition to its power and performance, it also delivers maximum fuel efficiency and cleaner exhaust. Operators are also sure to appreciate the low noise levels. Scag's rubber iso-mounting system minimizes vibration from the engine.
The dual-fuel system gives the operator the flexibility and choice to run whatever fuel best suits their cutting situation. If there are certain days in which an area requires the use of cleaner fuels, simply flip the switch to propane!
Heavy-duty hydraulic drive system includes dual 16cc Hydro-Gear pumps with cooling fans and Hydro-Gear 18c.i. wheel motors for reliable, zero-turn maneuverability. Hydro-Gear 16cc hydraulic pumps provide smooth, positive and reliable power to the drive wheels. Extra large input bearing, input shaft and internal components add to reliability and performance. Built-in pressure relief valves reduce internal pressure spikes and add to pump life. Cooling fans mounted directly to the pumps provide additional cooling for added pump life.
Auxiliary hydraulic oil coolers keep oil temperatures within a safe operating level and adds to hydraulic system component life.
Up to 11 MPH forward speeds and 5 MPH reverse speeds keep productivity at a maximum.
Driveshaft-driven cutter deck eliminates belt slip and provides increased reliability and longevity compared to a belt drive system.
Heavy-duty blade drive spindles provide reliable performance season after season. The Scag spindle easily handles the high horsepower and torque requirements of this powerful mower. Three year limited warranty.
The 61" Velocity Plus™ cutter deck is an excellent match with the 31hp gas / 29hp dual-fuel Kubota engine.
Standard equipment auxiliary canister air filter system on all Turf Tigers. This provides increased service intervals and longer engine life.
Engine radiator is mounted in front of the engine, as the engine manufacturer intended. Having the radiator positioned behind the seat offers extra protection against impacts and foreign material. It also directs heat away from the operator as the engine fan blows towards the rear of the mower. Hydraulic oil cooler is also mounted in front of the radiator for maximum airflow and heat dissipation.
Single11-gallon gasoline fuel tank keeps you in the field cutting grass. Fuel tank is positioned low, in the center of the machine, adding to the mower's low center-of-gravity and excellent hillside stability. Fill up in the morning and cut all day long.
Dual 7.9-gallon (33.5 lbs.) propane tanks, (total: 15.8 gal., 67 lbs. capacity) deliver approximately 7-8 hours of total run time depending on cutting conditions .
Double tube steel main frame construction delivers superior strength and ensures years of trouble free service. This design is much stronger than "bolt-together" frame designs. The main frame was designed for an ultra-low center-of-gravity to increase hillside stability.
The Ogura GT3.5 PTO Clutch Brake delivers 250 ft. lbs. of starting and stopping torque. The clutch body is riveted together for additional strength. Adjustable airgap ensures long component life.

NO plastic pulleys - Some [other brands] actually use plastic pulleys on their mowers. Not Scag. All Scag pulleys are made from metal. Plastic is for toys.
